Sichuan Tourism University Delegation Visits South Korea to Deepen International Educational Cooperation

From September 10 to 14, Vice President Ren Yingwei led a delegation to visit Honam University in South Korea. The two universities signed a cooperation agreement, marking a new level of collaboration in academic exchange and talent cultivation.

The two sides inaugurated the Chinese Sichuan Cuisine College. Representatives from School of Health Sciences of Honam University, including faculty and students, attended the inauguration ceremony to celebrate this milestone achievement. The establishment of the College will provide a broader platform for cooperation between the two schools in culinary arts and food nutrition.

During the discussions, Ren and President of Honam University Park Sang-cheol conducted in-depth discussions regarding teaching facilities, equipment, faculty allocation, and logistical support related to the cooperative programs. Park noted that Honam Universitys excellent faculty team and well-equipped experimental training conditions provide essential support for the cooperative educational endeavors. Ren emphasized the strong foundation and conditions for collaboration in three professional fields and urged both sides to closely cooperate, work together, and expedite the implementation of the agreed cooperation contents. The visit not only deepened the friendship between two universities but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

In addition, the delegation also visited Yonsei University and the China Cultural Center in Gwangju, where they reached a preliminary cooperation intention regarding the operation of the Sejong Institute and faculty-student exchanges.
